Shepherd Compello Motorsport is pleased to announce the launch of its innovative new Track Guard portal, a quick and easy-to-access resource aimed specifically at track day drivers who are looking for insurance quotes and ultimately, cover.
With just one click from the Shepherd Compello Motorsport website track day insurance page, customers will be taken through to an online questionnaire comprising a series of straightforward risk based questions.
Once completed and submitted, the system will provide a quotation based on the answers given, or in some cases, if the enquiry is more bespoke, further information will be requested. If the figure presented is acceptable, customers will be directed to a payment page. Once the funds have been processed, cover will be applied and a certificate automatically issued via email.
The insurance is available for cars only (not motorcycles) and covers:
• UK domiciled policyholders
• damage to the car following an on track accident, this includes fire cover following an accident
• vehicle values up to £50,000 (minimum £5,000)
• Half-day, full-day or two-day (weekend) cover
• Multiple drivers, from one to four sharing the car
• For circuits in the UK and Europe
Senior Broker for Shepherd Compello Motorsport Insurance Mark Taylor is confident this new and straightforward way of arranging cover should prove a hit with track day drivers:
“Track days have never been so popular and whilst that’s good news for organisers and participants, it means there’s likely to be a high number of cars on the track at any one time, so being adequately insured is more important than ever.
“We were therefore eager to launch a solution providing 24/7, easy-to-access online quote-and-buy portal that enables drivers to find out what their insurance is going to cost and give them the ability to instantly buy a policy and receive their documents. And Track Guard does this.
“Track Guard also reduces the amount of time spent calling Brokers and gives out-of-office hours access – plus being online means, customers can purchase cover at home or at the circuit. It’s just one less thing to worry about and drivers can now get on with preparing for the day, which after all, is all about having fun and not spending time on admin.
“It’s also worth remembering that because we’re specialists in motorsport, we know what’s required, so customers can rest assured, provided they have filled in the online questionnaire correctly, the cover will be fit-for purpose and competitively priced.”
